Environmental
Health Division
The
Environmental Health Division oversees a variety of local and state
programs that prevent, protect and educate our community about
potentially harmful elements in our environment. We enforce State
Regulations and Administrative Code, as well as local regulations.
Trained environmental specialists called Registered Sanitarians ensure that local and state standards are met in food safety, residential and semi-public sewage systems, septic tank cleaners and septage land application sites, residential and commercial plumbing installations, solid waste landfills and solid waste haulers, scrap tire generators, infectious waste generators, compost sites, manufactured home parks, campgrounds and RV parks, schools, animal bite investigations, and public swimming pools. This division also investigates public nuisances that may potentially lead to public health problems. Fees
Services
rendered by the Geauga County
Health
District are subject to fees. Please refer to our current fee tables.
