Environmental
Health Manufactured Home Parks
The
Environmental Health Division enforces State Rules and Laws governing
Manufactured Home Parks. A manufactured home park is any tract of land
upon which three or more manufactured homes are located. This
includes any roadway, building, structure, vehicle, or enclosure used
or intended for use
as a part of the facilities of the park. The Geauga County Board
of Health, enforces the rules and laws governing manufactured home
parks set forth in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative
Code.
To ensure public safety, all
manufactured home parks located in Geauga County are licensed and
inspected. Manufactured home parks must be in compliance with all
building and safety requirements. Owners are required to maintain the
area in a
healthy manner. The Geauga County Health District inspects each
manufactured home park on a regular basis. If a manufactured home
park is not in compliance with the rules and laws set forth by the Ohio
Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code, the Geauga County Board
of
Health can take away the license to operate the park, thus resulting in
closure of the park.
Rules governing each manufactured
home park vary based on when the park was placed in service. Some
typical manufactured home park rules include:
* The foundation pad
and support
system of the home.* Appropriate trash disposal * Proper maintenance of park and roadways. * Visible and sequential home numbers. * Appropriate solid waste facilities. * Establishment of park rules. * Storm Sewage. * Insect control. * Spacing of manufactured homes and out buildings. * Electrical systems. * Recreation area and facilities Fees
