Disease Investigations
The Personal Health Services Division conducts
surveillance
of communicable diseases reported in Geauga County in compliance with
the
Ohio Department of Health Infectious Disease reporting requirements and
CDC
recommendations. Contact investigation and follow-up is performed by a
public health nurse following strict confidentiality guidelines.
Communicable and Infectious diseases are classified by there severity of disease and potential for epidemic spread. These diseases are governed by the health department under Ohio Administrative Code Sections 3701.3.02 and 3701.3.13. (440) 279-1950 |
