Tuberculosis Control
In accordance with Ohio law, the health district conducts tuberculosis control and containment throughout Geauga County by screening high risk populations, contact investigation, maintaining a register of positive reactors, and, in conjunction with the Geauga County Commissioners, following through with suitable treatment for appropriate individuals. TB testing for contacts of a person with active tuberculosis is free of charge. All TB policies are based on the American Lung Association recommendations and Ohio Department of Health guidelines.
