There were 1,266 births, 657 males and 609 females. Of all births, 1,118 were at UHHS Geauga Medical Center, 129 were at Middlefield Care Center and there were 18 births at private homes.

There were 632 deaths recorded in Geauga County for 2007. The Health District’s Medical Director reviews all death certificates and compiles statistics listing the most common causes of death.
