2008 Birth Statistics
There were 1,274 births, 619 males and 655 females. Of all births, 1,127 were at Univeristy Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, 137 were at the Middlefield Care Center and there were 10 births at private homes in Geauga County.

2008 Death Statistics
There were 682 deaths recorded in Geauga County for 2008. The Health District’s Medical Director reviews all death certificates and compiles statistics listing the most common causes of death.
